Moncalieri, TurinThe redevelopment has transformed a classic post-war industrial warehouse into a multi-brand clothing showroom. Located on the outskirts of Turin, near the river, the warehouse has been transformed by a new wooden cladding which, on the one hand, redefines the perception of the forms and sense of the existing building, while on the other, the choice of an essential, natural material enhances the views of the river and the nearby hill.
The building houses the management area on the main front, whose protruding exterior has been re-evaluated, with a kitchen and relaxation area facing the outdoor terrace, and the showroom area in the warehouse part: here the distribution of spaces optimises natural light, integrated with the necessary lighting points designed for displaying the collections. A rethought space where light, transparency and natural materials make it possible to enhance the functional value of the intended use. The entire surface of the sheds has been designed to support the photovoltaic panels needed to produce energy.
