PAPILLE’S

Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 72, Turin

In the venue of a historic Turin pastry shop where Einaudi always had a small table reserved for him and in recent years the ice cream of another brand that has made the history of Turin was served, maintaining the beauty and uniqueness of some of the period details or that characterised the use of the premises, Papille’s was created. A place where everything that stands for historicity has been recovered and enhanced, and where the transition between tradition and modernity is entrusted to the light-hearted graphic play of wall decorations.

Alongside the splendid counter, the use of retro wells has been recovered and overturned, switching from ice cream to savoury, and integrating the new fittings with the essential, contemporary style that echoes the retro style of the first use of the place. Finally, the use of poster paper underlines the balance between past and present, between the nobility of the details and the warmer, more ironic and convivial character of the project. For this new brand, which emphasises the taste, refinement and authenticity of the food, starting with the historic Papille in Cit Turin, care was taken not only with the restoration and design but also with the brand identity: from the logo to the details that form its identity and visual uniqueness.
